Chocolate Crackle Cookies

This recipe isn’t mine; I got it from a friend’s mother. tasty.


8 oz bittersweet chocolate
1 + 1/4 c flour
1/2 c dutch cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick butter at room temp
1 + 1/3 c packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 c milk
1 c powdered sugar


melt chocolate and set aside. mix and sift the dry ingredients (except the sugar). mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. add melted chocolate. add flour mixture alternating with milk; beat on low until combined. shape into disk, wrap in plastic, chill two hours. roll balls in powdered sugar, place on parchment, and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, rotating halfway through.
